Tunna gig at Caiplie

The event on Saturday went really well even if I say so myself. The local prude went down well with the venison from Fletchers of Auchtermuchty meeting great acclaim and the apple and pear crumble with fruit from Pillars of Hercules getting good reviews.

Tunna entertained us with some traditional Scottish and Irish tunes as well as some self penned ones too. Dave’s Rab and Anna’s was the favourite I think.
Fraser Thomson filled the break with a great old story too, thanks

A big thanks to everyone who came along but especially Graham from the Honeypot who showed his special fusion of Scottish and Spanish dancing. ole

Crail Festival 2010

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

The Crail Festival kicked off yesterday with a BANG!

There was a great turnout for the fair that makes up the opening event. King Robert The Bruce came along to present the Royal Charter to Crail as he did 700 years ago. He looks pretty good for his age!

The party went on afterwards with AlbannachThe perfect band for an event like this. Drumming, Piping and dancing

Festival went off with a bang

Festival went off with a bang

I helped out at the food stall. Graham and Edna from The Honeypot in Crail were offering some great burgers, chilli and curry.

I went for some classic Crail dishes; crab, lobster and smoked haddock chowder. Seemed to go down well!

Tigers Wood still in Crail and pops in for coffee!

Monday, July 19th, 2010

So it was true!! Tigers Wood was in Crail. Chilling out after The Open he popped in to Caiplie this morning for coffee and a chat!
