Great Grog@Caiplie
Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010Mat from Great Grog in Edinburgh came for the long awaited wine tasting.
He brought with him a really nice collection of wine which he had obviously spent some time putting together for us.
So we have a few half bottles kicking about if you would like to drop round and help us decide on our new wines for this year!!!

Light, quaffable and clean
Very quaffable, light, 'simple', fresh & fruity. Alcoholic lime juice?
A fresh twist on now legendary grape. The addition of Garganega adds fullness and texture and enhances the fruity qualities of the PG. Very well balanced, soft everyday white.
Soft and rounded with ripe tropical fruit and vanilla.
Ripe red fruits and hints of cedary spice from 9 months spent in oak barrels.
Very Rhone-y style; gritty and dry with good plummy, jammy fruit.
Death by chocolate in liquid form, with some plums and damsons just for fun
Blackberry, plum and french oak flavours- fresh and juicy- made at the Ferngrove Winery in Frankland River Valley.
