Late August, through September really is a great time of year to come to Fife. The weather always seems nice and settled and the mad crowds of the height of summer have gone.
No better time to walk the Fife Coastal Path or chase a wee white ball around one of the amazing links courses in the area. They live side by side with the path running alongside many of the great courses from Leven to St Andrews.
This photo is a perfect example, taken from the Elie/Earlsferry course looking over the path to the chain walk a via ferrata which was listed as the best walk in Great Britain by The Telegraph!
If this is not attractive enough Helen has put together a couple of great packages to enhance your walking or golf holiday:
Walkers: Dinner, bed and breakfast, packed lunch with drink from only £45 per person (2 sharing a twin or double)
Golfers: Steak supper, bed and breakfast, drink and snack pack from only £42 per personper night (2 sharing a standard en-suite twin or double, min two nights) from only £52 in a single!
It is that time of year again Etape Caledonia and I have convinced a pal to ride with me this year. Jim has taken it a bit seriously and it seems we are racing!! We are raising money for the event charity Marie Curie.
Please go to our team page and donate…..it will help us get round. Thanks. I will keep you posted on how the race goes
Last summer was my tenth summer season in Crail but we are now charging towards my tenth anniversary of buying Caiplie House and starting to operate; 9th May 2012.
In the run up there are loads of great deals to celebrate. I have dropped prices down to 2002 levels up until May 9th from the 2nd night of your stay.check availability May 9th is priced totally at 2002 prices and I am sure there will be a party!!
How about this…here are a few of my favourite ’10′s Post yours to the Caiplie Facebook page, the best(based on likes) wins a weekend for two, dinner bed and breakfast, in a sea view room.
What a ten run....

11? no that's spinal tap!
Thats the whole team (Madras) not Shiel at 10 for Accies!
Crail is not all about golf, walking and pictures of the harbour! I love the diversity of our visitors. It is always nice to see the ‘Rally Boys’ with their Border or Easter Ross accents. I pretend I understand their chat about engines and chassis! I have trouble finding a dipstick let alone a manifold.
In terms of looks though I always fancied an Escort, back in the early eighties when the mark 3 started to make its mark it was the dream car. Nowadays I think the mark 2 has the most class. The Triumph looks pretty good in this clip too.
Cheers for your support guys.
