Golfing in Scotland
Fife is famous for it’s fabulous golf courses. King James the IV described the region as ‘fringed with gold ‘ as he remarked on the richness and beauty of the coast.
This is most certainly true today in golfing terms.
Balcomie Links by Crail is very highly regarded, as well as being one of the oldest golf courses in the world it is one of the oldest golf clubs and one of the few that has documentation leading back to its inauguration in the 18th century! Further up the coast lies Kingsbarns recently redeveloped to championship standard and already widely acclaimed as a great course.
Nearby lies St Andrews Bay Resort, another new development with two courses which promise to develop into classic courses. All this before you even arrive in St Andrews! Ten miles from Crail lies St Andrews , need we say more? Take your pick from it’s outstanding selection of courses: The New Course, The Jubilee, The Duke’s and of course The Old Course.
Carnoustie, Gleneagles, and many lesser known but fantastic courses lie within 90 minutes drive of Crail. If you would like us to help you arrange your golf on these local courses or courses further afield in Scotland, please contact us for details. mail@caipliehouse.com
