Dining at Caiplie House

Eating at Caiplie

At Caiplie House you will experience good home cooking both at breakfast and dinner.

Breakfast

Breakfast ‘the most important meal of the day’ is a combination of Scottish and continental styles.
Fruit juices, cereals, toast and fruit is complimented by a selection of cooked breakfasts.
Try the full cooked breakfast to get you going in the morning, the sausages and bacon come straight from Penman the butchers across the road, while only free-range eggs are used.
Eggs can be fried, poached boiled or scrambled and if that is not enough choice there is also porridge and smoked haddock for those wanting the full Scottish experience!

Dinner

Dinner is available most nights. Local seafood is a speciality. Please arrange dinner for your first evening when booking.

Below are a couple of sample menus:

Dressed Crail crab
Fresh lobster in a garlic butter
New potatoes and fresh vegetables
Chocolate mousse
Smoked salmon salad
Roast lamb on a bed of mash
Roast vegetables
Stawberries and cream

Drinks

There is no better accompaniment to a nice meal than a good bottle of wine. There is always a selection of good wine here at Caiplie House. A choice of new and old world wines are on offer some well known some less so, all reasonably priced. House wine by the glass is available
